1. We read your brief
You tell us what you sell, where, and the kind of companies you want to reach, plus any companies to leave out. From that we plan the research: the kinds of companies that buy an offer like yours, and who decides on it there. You never have to pick a job title: we choose the decision-maker.
2. We find the companies
We look for companies that fit in public and licensed sources: their own websites, online maps listings, public advertising libraries, web search results, public registers, and licensed business-data providers. Company websites are read by our crawler, which follows robots.txt (see VerifiedDialBot). Companies you asked us to leave out are skipped, and so is any company that asked to be left out of our research.
3. We choose the decision-maker
At each company we look for the person who decides on buying what you sell: the buyer or head of purchasing first, then commercial directors and department heads. At a small company that is often the owner, founder or managing director. When the person has a public professional profile, we check that it still shows them at that company; people who have left are dropped.
At bigger companies, the CEO, chairman or president is offered separately as a premium decision-maker: $29, unlocked only if you ask, refunded if we can't verify a direct phone.
4. Two checks on every phone
- The data check. A licensed business-data provider supplies the direct phone of that exact person, matched to their name and company.
- The line check. A carrier lookup confirms that the number is valid and what kind of line it is. Where the name the line is registered to is available, it must match the person or their company.
We leave out company switchboards and main lines, premium-rate, toll-free and shared-cost numbers, lines registered to someone else, and numbers whose owner asked to be removed. Mobiles come first; a direct landline is shown as a direct line. A lead is delivered only with a phone that passed both checks: no verified phone, no lead.
5. The work email, when there is one
We deliver a work email only when it has been verified as deliverable; otherwise the lead comes without one. A lead with a verified phone and a verified email is graded A+, a lead with a verified phone only is graded A.
6. A person reviews every paid list
A person on our team reviews every paid list before it reaches you, lead by lead, with each phone check, and takes out any lead that does not meet the standard. A list is delivered only when it holds exactly the number of leads you bought. Your free lead is released automatically as soon as it has passed every check, so you can judge it quickly; our team can still withdraw it.
7. Ranked best first
Each lead gets a fit score and a short reason it made your list, and the list is ranked best first. AI helps us plan the research and write that reason from public facts about the company and the person's role. The people and their numbers always come from the sources above, never from AI.
8. Kept fresh
We check contact details again over time. When a phone's line check is more than 90 days old, it is checked again before the lead goes into a list. Contact details more than 180 days old are looked up again from the source.
9. What we always respect
- Opt-outs. A number, email or company that asked to be removed is never delivered. We check while researching and once more just before a list is delivered. Anyone can opt out at verifieddial.com/remove.
- Your exclusions. Companies you asked us to leave out are never researched or delivered.
- Once per client. You never receive the same person twice.
If a number still turns out wrong, report it from your list: see replacements and refunds.
